Park Place Porschefest raises $3,500 for American Cancer Society
Porsche enthusiasts aren't about to let a little rain dampen their spirits. And they certainly didn't let it keep them from Porschefest, held May 16 in Park Place Porsche's unique climate-controlled garage. In fact, several hundreds guests attended Porschefest, which raised more than $3,500 for the American Cancer Society.
As guests entered the free event they were offered the opportunity to buy a $100 raffle ticket for a chance to win a 2010 Porsche Boxster in the Cattle Baron's Ball raffle.
Porsche enthusiasts reveled in a wide range of exotic and classic Porsches: including a 1955 Porsche 356 Continental Coupe; '89 911 Speedster; '90 964 C2; ©®08 Cayman S; '09 Targa 4S; '09 Cayenne; a modified 356 racer; a heart-stopping Carrera GT and more.
The event also presented guests eith the opportunity to configure a 2010 Porsche Panamera on a 360-degree CAD-CAM system. The sporty new 4-seat sedan with an auto-deploying spoiler will debut this fall.
The Cattle Baron's Ball, which will be held Saturday, October 3, 2009, is the world's largest single-night fundraiser for cancer research through the American Cancer Society. The Cattle Baron's Ball has raised nearly $40 million in just 35 year in its ongoing pursuit of a cure for cancer. One hundred active volunteers are responsible for raising the funds that my make the ultimate difference in the lives of those who are coping with cancer.
Park Place Porsche is donating a 2010 Porsche Boxster in support of this event. Raffle tickets for a chance to win can be purchased for $100 or $500 for six.
